Skullcandy SCS-SCW3.5 Skullcrusher Subwoofer Stereo Headphones (White) Review

I listen to Speed Metal, Heavy Metal, and Dark Metal. The Sub-woofer on this headphone is awesome and very responsive. Many times the base cannot keep up with the music’s double base…but for a headphone, these are responsive and there is a dial so you can select how much base you want.
In the past, I have owned headphones that have a base but it is either on or off.
I will always own a pair of Skull Candies!!!
Also…lifetime warranty. I had my daughter rip the headphone jack out of the computer which shreadded the headphone wire. I emailed Skullcandy, I sent in my headphones, and they replaced them no questions asked.

Okay the pros first:
The rubber parts of the ear buds do an exceptional job at blocking outside noise. It won’t block a bus or an airplane engine but your everyday walking around is about as peaceful as you can possibly get without spending money on WAY better headphones. The mic works well, although I’ve only used it for tuning my guitar on an app that does that on my iPod Touch 2G. From what I can tell, good reception and the sound is definitely getting through.

Okay the cons next:
The rubber on the earbuds can and will pop off. It’s a hassle and it’s annoying so if you get these make sure you’re really careful taking them out of your ear, purse, pocket, etc. You might have to make it a habit to check to make sure you still have the rubber piece.

All in all, I would suggest buying these. The sound quality is good, the noise cancelling is good and the mic works just fine. The earbud thing isn’t a big enough problem to make me not want to buy these again.

Sennheiser MX 560 Earbuds with Cable Winder (Silver) Review

If you are looking for inexpensive ear buds with good sound quality these are great.

Putting on the covers for the ear buds by flipping them inside out over the ear bud give me trouble, but they stayed on tightly and are comfortable. Only complaint I have is the rubber coating on the cord which twists and crosses up here and there, takes a moment to undo so it’s not a big deal.

Great build quality, great sound quality, good cord length, and the bend in the plug is great if you have an Mp3 player in your pocket and don’t want a bent cord shorting out some day. I have been using them pretty roughly for the past month or so and they haven’t had any problems.

UPDATE Feb 17,2010: These ear buds are still working perfectly. They’ve been pulled out and dropped several times, but still work perfectly. The cord crossing up is annoying, but I’ve found that other cords without the rubber coating cause virtually the same trouble, once again not a big deal.
